An Example of Knowledge Management by the Company EWAB Engineering

EWAB Engineering is an internationally-active corporation in the field of automation for the automotive industry and its supply industry with plants in eight countries of Europe and the USA. At the Moment eight Domino 6.5 database servers with partially proprietary database developments, a Sametime server for chat and video conferencing and a content solution based on Lotus Notes are operated.
Corporate presentation
Among other uses, EWAB Engineering puts MindPlan to use for corporate presentation. A MindPlan constitutes the guideline through the presentation. Attachments like PowerPoint files, images and videos are stored within a presentation, which are directly accessed by MinPlan if required.
MindPlan as a repository
In this case, Weilgut MindPlan is both repository for presentation and presentation medium. By storing presentations in the Notes database of Weilgut MindPlan, these presentations can be replicated, i.e. distributed to all sites more quickly.
This approach has enabled EWAB Engineering to better implement its own corporate identity. As up-to-date technical innovations and solutions are incorporated into these presentations, this also allows for a faster and more unified transfer of knowledge to the plants all over the world. This fast transfer of know-how has even led customers to decide in favor of products manufactured by EWAB Engineering.
