What is Weilgut MindPlan?

Weilgut MindPlan combines mind map, project management and Lotus Notes in one application:

Mind Map
The MindPlan editor allows you to create - as a single user or in collaboration with others - mind maps illustrating your ideas, concepts and other challenges. The mind map concept was developed by creativity researcher Tony Buzan in the seventies. The mind map method enables you to create a kind of graphical information map using texts, optical features and connection lines. A mind map emerges from spontanous thoughts which are converted into an ordered structure, making use of the mind map method. The mind map method links the left and right brain hemisphere and additionally stimulates the flow of ideas. In the chapter "Fields of application" we compiled different scenarios of the MindPlan map editor for you.
Project, resource and task management
The MindPlan Gantt editor enables you to transfer your ideas (the mind map) to a classical project and resource planning step-by-step. The main concept of MindPlan is the blending of the brainstorming and the planning phase. You don't need to have a precise idea of your overall project right from the start, but rather develop it step-by-step. With this approach, you may convert only parts of a brainstorming-map to tasks, while still keeping all the remaining ideas. This means, that you can already assign costs, times and resources to your ideas during a brainstorming without actually planning the whole project yet. Thus you have a maximum of freedom for the creation of your concepts and project-plannings without ever losing sight of your overall target. With various flexible data-analyses you can easily keep track of your requirements, tasks, resources, times, costs and expenses during the whole process.
Team and document management by Lotus Notes
A Lotus Notes database is used to store the MindPlans. Each branch of a MindPlan (node) will be stored as a document within that database. This approach enables you to store additional text as well as file attachments with a node. A node can also be used as a link to tasks, websites, mail addresses, folders and files. Even Lotus Notes documents, views and databases can be linked with a MindPlan. With the MindPlan application you can easily integrate all these informations directly with your current brainstorming or project. The integrated document management and the possibilty of synchronizing appointments and tasks with your private calendar can complete your personal or shared knowledge management respectively. The Lotus Notes model of distributed data (replication) ensures a perfect collaboration with your colleagues, customers and distributors, across any number of organizations at any place and at any time. The Lotus Notes access restrictions can be used to restrict the access to each project. According to the permissions assigned to a project, the team members will only be able to see relevant informations, including attached files and links.
No Lotus in your company? Lotus notes acts in the background and is not visible to the MindPlan user, unless otherwise required. Thus, using the application is possible even if there is no Lotus Notes infrastructure installed in your company. We take care of the data exchange with your colleagues. Please contact us.
